We would like to introduce you Hotel Parkán:
Hotel Parkán – a historical house dating from 14th century, situated in a quiet zone of the centre of Prachatice, one of the most beatiful towns of South Bohemia.
Šumava is, without doubt, the most attractive part of South Bohemia, from the point of view of tourism – hilly countryside with deep forests, moors and crystal-clear sources of rivers, admired by poets and visitors from all over the world. This mountain range offers ideal conditions for the all the year round tourism and sports.
Thanks to its location, Prachatice is often called the “Sumava Gate” – a town, which ranges among the most picturesque towns of the Czech Lands, thanks to its well preserved historical monuments of Gothic and Renaissance architecture.
Hotel Parkán is situated in the close neighbourhood of the town’s dominant – St. James Church. The hotel building is interesting not only for its 14th century origin, but also for its location directly adjoining the town fortification walls and overlooking the “Parkán”, now the municipal park and opportunity to sit ourside on the summer terrace.
In 1993 the building was completely reconstructed, all historically valuable rooms and elements being preserved and used, in combination with modern facilities, to provide a quiet and comfortable environment, a unique atmosphere and top services.
The lounge with the reception desk is situated in the Renaissance hall with a wooden ceiling.
The restaurant has well-preserved Gothic vaulted ceilings and a medieval stone well. It is opened only for our guests.
